Yet another exhaustingly “woke” piece of modern culture. These two people are so run-of-the-mill they fade into nothingness. Enough with the PC-isms and hubris already. Everyone is sick of it. Labeling that modern day American Civil Rights Records are comparable/equal to modern day Gulf Countries Civil Rights Records? Seriously? Grow up and get a grip. Y’all are clueless.

I came in at the end of the Matt & Tommy era and continued on through the Dre year as he was knowledgeable and entertaining. I looked forward to Hot Take Wednesdays and this podcast was regular listening. It tanked for me when Dre left. I check back every few months and WTF1 continues to be just unlistenable. I recommend P1 and MissedApex for news and analysis light years ahead of WTF1.

Decent insight but Ash needs to stop with the ‘What are we doing?’ every three sentences.

Mocking Bring Back V10s - a truly excellent podcast about the history of F1 from real journalists - was a bridge to far and exactly what’s wrong with the current iteration of this show. Bullheaded loud opinions without the full background.

Female host ash is annoying and shares unnecessary takes on unrelated material. She ruins it for me.

I feel like I need to play this slower, the female speaks so quickly and cuts off her cohost so often, it’s annoying at times.

Ash is just using this podcast as her own personal grievance platform. I don’t mind hosts with strong opinions, but she doesn’t support it with anything and when shown opposing evidence she never reconsiders her positions. It’s not thoughtful, makes it a stressful listen. Unfollowed.

Ash is definitely the weak link on this podcast, and in general the podcast has gone south the past year. Offers a lot of hot-takes but barely substantiates anything. Feels like bumping into someone at a sports bar who’s yelling at every play but barely knows who plays for who.

I’ve really tried to like this podcast as I like a mix team (M/F duo) but Ash especially just offers a lot of her personal biased opinions and it makes it hard to listen. I wish she was more measured and less hyperbolic. It will make the podcast more listenable. But for now, I’m unsubscribing.

Everyone liked the old hosts, which is why this got popular. Dre came in, was really good and knowledgeable but got pushed aside. Amber and Hayden were pretty good too and then Amber was gone for James and the show went from a 4 to a 2. I used to listen to Ash’s other podcast with Elizabeth Blackstock, but Ash became intolerable. She speaks too fast and constantly interrupts, so I just had to give up. James needs her help here for sure because despite sounding annoying, she’s super knowledgeable where he’s just a tryhard riding the ‘Drive to Survive’ coattails.

Can we get the audio levels fixed. Sometimes it’s so quiet you can barely hear than they are so loud off of a sudden.

If the new girl is going to do nothing but use this platform to yell at all the people who disagree with her TikTok’s, this is going to be a long year. Hopefully, the start of the new season will give her something substantial to talk about, instead of substituting dead air time with bad language and a crybaby attitude. You’re terrible

This podcast is awful. This is a classic case of a company buying a genuinely amazing channel from a great content creator, then installing their own hosts and bringing the whole thing crashing down. News flash — people liked the original hosts. It’s not the same show without them. No one cares about this podcast anymore.

What happened to this podcast? The old hosts made this one of my favorites but the new ones are almost unlistenable.

The new hosts are unbearably annoying and after 2 podcasts I will no longer be following or downloading their channel. My time is valuable and their content isn’t.

Please sort out your ad audio issues! Completely unlistenable for me

This podcast was once solid, but it has fallen off. The new hosts are pretty rough, but I’m willing to give them time to grow. The audio levels are all over the place and need serious work. It goes from near-silent talking to an ear-shattering ad read. I’m also suspicious of there being undisclosed sponsorship. The fact that the hosts spent several minutes slobbering over how great Stake is as a sponsor for Sauber while conveniently not mentioning it’s an unregulated (and illegal in many countries F1 races in) crypto casino is a bit strange. This podcast really reflects the typical quality of most things The Race puts out. It really feels like they don’t care about this show at all any more.

Please remaster the audio. Two of the episodes in 2021 need the audio corrected. They they have sudden very loud audio bursts that even get past my iPhone audio settings. The same happened with an episode on 2022. I will try the 2023 season.

UPDATE: after taking a break for a couple months, I came back for Hot Takes Wednesday today. Worse than I remembered. I’m starting to wonder if it’s satire at this point? Dre and Hannah are completely out of touch. Dre literally does not care about any opinion that is not his own. I wish them all the best, but this pod is officially off my recommendations list and out of my rotation. I tried really really hard to like the new hosts, I really did. But it’s just not good. I realized today that I only listen now if I’ve exhausted every other F1 channel. The host is an insufferable know it all who talks over all the guests and has no ability to self deprecate even a little bit like alllll other hosts do on podcasts that solicit differing opinions. And Hannah Atkinson… where to even start. She had an episode where she trashes modern F1 and talks about the superiority of Indycar. Like… what?! I realized today that WTF1 is dead to me, and that’s really disappointing.

The objectivity and data provided are out of context of what really happened in the racetrack. I don’t know if it’s with the intent to attract a specific kind of audience or just lack of knowledge/attention/experience. Each listener can judge differently.

With Matt and Tommy gone from the best podcast for F1 fans I will give the new crew a chance. Immediately they get into Abu Dhabi 2021 and I’m fearful that we will have another British Biased podcast. We will see and if so my rating will go to 1 star and I will stop listening. After another show I’ve moved them down to stars. We don’t need another Hammy sycophant show. Just honest F1 coverage with opinion. 2/2 knocked down to 1 star. Harry Benjamin is absolutely awful and appears no know very little about the sport. He 26 years old? He’s also on the BBC. who is he related to? There is know way that he received either job on merit. why is he on the podcast. I won’t listen to any part while he’s on the podcast. I do enjoy hot takes Wednesday

Love this podcast, especially getting my fix of Hot Takes Wednesday. Dre is a such a natural, entertaining and knowledgeable host, who keeps the show moving and fun. Love Hannah and Charley as well. It’s so great to have women included and hosting F1 conversations. Their recent episode while Dre was on holiday was so good and funny. Great job, team!

Long time listener, finally reviewing. I’m mostly here to complain about the massively overrated jingle for “overrated/underrated.” I despise this jingle so much, based solely on the fact that it doesn’t end with a random “F1”. That is all. - B from Kansas, USA PS- love the show!

I just listened to them talk about where Danny Ric is going next season for the second week in a row and nobody has mentioned the fact Helmet Marko basically admitted he was placed there for the rebrand and they’re aware of how popular he is. He’s gonna be the face of the new team titled Hugo Boss and we all know this except the ones doing the podcast lol she also chose Williams as a top team to finish first ep so I should have expected this from the start. Red Flags and P1 are all you need I guess

I use this to keep up to date with everything F1 related. If everyone is having a problem with the new crew, just go listen to P1 by Matt and Tommy. You can stop dissing on the current hosts. If they have to switch, that’s how podcasting works!

3 ad reads done by the host (not bad) and 4 pre-recorded ad reels, 2 of which are cut into the episode mid topic. I don’t mind the new hosts, but the ads are just getting ridiculous. Update: 7/13/23 mid roll ads have been condensed to one block instead of being randomly spread throughout (good) but are still cut to in a very sudden and jarring way (bad.) Please fade into and out of the ad break with some music, or have the hosts introduce the ad break.

Decided today to give it a try. Seems pretty apparent this is a drive to survive fan pod based on the lack of wheel knowledge from the hosts. Also it was weirdly biased to any driver with a beans on toast accent. Hard Pass

Honestly the podcast has gone downhill since Matt and Tommy left. I would sincerely like to recommend p1 with Matt and tommy for any fans of the podcast before, and for any fan of f1 in general

But I’m ready to drop this one from my rotation. There’s not not really anything compelling about this podcast. I mean…like…nothing. Best of luck to you, I guess.

I’ve tried really hard to give this new lineup a chance. Unfortunately it really has not worked. Nobody in the new lineup gels with each other. It feels forced at times. And it’s no longer fun to listen to.

Honestly, I only listen on Wednesdays for Hot Takes. Dre with Hannah is fantastic. The rest just hasn’t done it for me lately, particularly after the extended commercials for Callan O’Keefe’s extended driving school commercials.

Unfortunately this podcast has gone really downhill with the change of hosts. I gave it a shot for a while as I love F1 and like having a variety of podcasts to listen to at work, but not enjoying this one at all anymore. The hosts seem kind of condescending to fans and most episodes are very boring.

Sorry. I’ve tried to give the new team time but it’s just not working out. So many times especially on hot takes recordings the hosts just seem to have mis interpreted the question and take the banter to banal places. I tried but giving up.

Gave it a few weeks, listened to every episode after the the switch over, but just doesn’t have any charm/magic. They’re not as good as actual F1 pundit podcasts but also lost the personality that the previous cast had which is what most tuned in for. Not bad, just very bland now.

Stop with the radical left politics. How much carbon does F1 burn? How many jets does it take to transport 20 cars all over the globe every other weekend? Spouting off looney leftist garbage in the richest, most exclusive sport in the world is very hypocritical.

Great podcast until the most recent episode where they begin to talk about social issues and bring up the race coming up in Miami Florida and are suggesting they wish a driver would speak up about women’s rights and get into how it will soon be illegal to have an abortion after 6 weeks in Florida. Abortion at any stage of the pregnancy should be illegal. It’s not “health care” when a baby dies.

Tried to give the new crew a chance but eventually decided to unsubscribe. It’s just not the same.

The spark is lost with the new hosts. Can’t blame them. This just ain’t it.

Loved this with the old hosts because it felt so fresh. They were open about their favorite drivers and it was a conversation with that driver support in the background. Now it sounds like every other F1 podcast. They pretend to be unbiased but clearly have a bias. Everyone has favorite drivers, don’t pretend!

New hosts have no chemistry, cringey. I tried and now i have unsubscribed. Too bad.

As a listener for the past 3 years, it’s hard for me to get into the new line up. I miss the old crew. I should give these new hosts a good chance but it just feels like it’s missing something.
